and being that enhanced acuities result from magnetic brain stimulation (TMS), which only affect the outside 1/2 inch of the cranial gray matter...

Excuse that Biblical reference, but to me the quote insinuates...
...that if there is/were/are a star-gate, or inter-dimensional portal, or what not, that the tuner-transceiver for such is biological, evolved by DNA to become the human cranium/neurosystem within a planetary biocosm that has random lightning strikes harmonizing in waves at the same frequencies of human brain waves.
Consider that if there is an upcoming biocosmic event around 2012 that it may be due to the Schumann Resonance exceeding the bounds of our present human culture's modus operandi of evolved cognitive acuities. The Schumann Resonance is the harmony of the (DNA mediated?), crustal piezocrystal, biocosmic coherence of our ionospheric electromagnetic capacitive tank to the energies impinging within/without on Earth from lightning, solar-Earth plasma ropes, solar wind, crustal electrical rivers, planetary magnetics, and the complex dielectric skin of our surface/ocean biocosm. This seems like a great place to live if one were the planetary subtle energy Spirit of Gaia, to coin a term.
